MUSMA to the children's carnival
Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 February 2012, pm 15.00 at 18.30, the MUSMA is planning the initiative MUseoSiMascherad'Arte, aimed at children from 6 to 11 age.
Two events to celebrate Carnival with art, through playful activity that, stimulating observation and imagination, invites participants to create a mask-carving works inspired by the collection of MUSMA.
To a first phase, where children will travel environments Pomarici Palace for a visit to the exhibition led by the operators of the Museum, followed by a game designed to stimulate visual memory by establishing a special group of sculptures selected for the occasion, starting point to learn about the work and examined the techniques used by the artist.
Direct contact with the sculptures exhibited in the Museum and the underground, will be followed by a laboratory classroom of Teaching: children build up a personal mask-carving with the materials available to them.
To commemorate the event, Museum staff will photograph of the young artists with the work that will enliven the Museum in a celebration of Carnival in the fine art.
